Tasteful Images is building a reputation for quality that is based on attention to detail at every step.

Many of the photographs are initially taken on film, from which high-resolution scans are made. The digital files are carefully manipulated as necessary to realise fully the photographer's vision, and then reduced in size for printing. More recent images are captured digitally as RAW files. These "digital negatives" are individually converted and adjusted to ensure that the best quality image is obtained.

Prints are made on a high-specification, eight-ink Epson printer, using genuine Epson UltraChrome pigment inks for quality and durability. You can choose to have your prints made on either glossy paper or matt fibre paper. The glossy media is resin-coated and has a UV protection layer to increase resistance to fading; the matt paper is also coated and is manufactured without the use of optical brighteners in order to give extra stability.

Images are printed in response to individual orders. Each print is allowed to dry for 24 hours before being carefully mounted on pH-neutral mountboard which has been treated to minimise the effect of atmospheric pollutants. Prints are attached to the mount using acid-free tape.

Finally, each print is checked again before being carefully packed for despatch.
